Updated- (Ski Press) In the first World Cup Down Hill of the season the Swiss men dominate the podium with a first and third finish by Didier Cuche and Carlo Janka, Werner Heel of Italy nabbed second place with a solid run.

TJ Lanning injury - Torn ACl in Right knee and back pain. Jon Kucera and Robbie Dixon had strong showings for the Canadians finishing 6th and 8th respectively; making the home town crowd stand on their feet as both Canadian shared the spot light. Not a great day for the US Men Speed Team with Bode in 22nd and Marco Sullivan in 36th. The race was on hold for an accident in which TJ Lanning from the US skied through a gate then caught an edge and tumbled into the fence. He was airlifted out to the hospital and is reported to have back pain and a torn ACL in his right knee. The conditions for racing today were flurries, overcast and occasional fog. Cuche who wore bib number 18, nailed his line and looked focused for the entire run. His strong finished netted him some $29,000 and change and the Swiss racer appeared very pleased in the finish area. The track ran fastest for the skiers after bib #10 with five skiers with bib numbers 10-18 finishing in the top 6. In fourth place was Michael Walchhofer of Austria who had the fasted time in the third day of training yesterday. Racers now prepare for the Super G on Sunday scheduled to start around 11am.
