Lake Louise, Alberta (Ski Press)-Olympic Champion Ted Ligety stepped up his status as an all around skier as he notched the third top-10 career result in a speed event Sunday as he finished eighth in the super G in the Audi FIS World Cup in Lake Louise.

Dan Egan (Ski Press) What a day for the Canadian Men’s Speed Team at the second day of racing at the Bombardier Winterstart at Lake Louise, as Manny Osborne Paradis takes top honors bringing the home town crowd to its feet!  Austria grabbed 2nd and 3rd place with Benni Raich and Michael Walchhofer respectively.

Updated- (Ski Press) In the first World Cup Down Hill of the season the Swiss men dominate the podium with a first and third finish by Didier Cuche and Carlo Janka, Werner Heel of Italy nabbed second place with a solid run.

Lake Louise, Alberta (Ski Press)-Bode Miller led the way for the U.S. Ski Team Friday, finishing second during the final downhill training in Lake Louise. Saturday's World Cup downhill will be the first speed race for Miller since World Championships in February last season.

Lake Louise, Alberta (Ski Press)-Bode Miller led the U.S. in Lake Louise Winterstart Downhill training before heavy snow canceled the second training run. 
Miller was 6th. Swiss skier Didier Cuche was the overall leader.
