Hancock, Mass. (Ski Press)-Amidst a difficult economy, Jiminy Peak is proving that success is still achievable. The Resort is seeing record numbers of skiers this season at

10.4% ahead of last year, and has just completed the strongest President’s Week in the sixty year history of the mountain.

With six weeks still left in the season, management remains cautiously optimistic. Jiminy Peak President and CEO, Brian Fairbank stated, “We are certainly thrilled with the turn out we have had to this point of the season. We have worked tremendously hard on efforts to keep skiing and riding affordable for families and we’re seeing the results of those efforts this year.”

Shawnee Gets Nearly 3 Feet!

Shawnee Peak, Maine (Ski Press)-Here’s a blast from Shawnee Peak: Greetings! Holy Cow! This last storm really brought snow conditions to a whole new level! With 26-28 Inches of snow from Sunday night/Monday morning's storm, we have a grand snow total for the season on 124 inches! Snow depths are exceeding six feet in some spots and every square inch of terrain (including everything in the trees) is 100% WIDE OPEN!

Sunapee Does Too!

Newbury, NH (Ski Press)-And one from Sunapee too: “Sunday night we received another 14 inches of snow giving us 27 inches of snow during the past week. Even better is that both storms, particularly the one Sunday night, brought much wetter and more packable snow. We have received 100 inches of snow so far this season which is close to our annual average with March and April still to come. As a result all 65 trails and glades are currently open. This is shaping up to be another very snowy winter. Our base depths on snowmaking trails are 40-56 inches.”
