Development as required by its Lease and Operating Agreement with the State of New Hampshire. In the MDP, Mount Sunapee offers its vision for maintaining the overall facilities at the ski area while also maintaining Mount Sunapee’s appeal and competitive standing in the New England ski marketplace. The MDP includes the West Bowl Expansion which includes a 5,100’ high-speed quad chairlift, a beginner lift, 75 acres of new terrain with four top-to-bottom ski trails, snowmaking, a new base area facility and parking. This would increase Mount Sunapee’s comfortable capacity by 31%. The MDP is designed to produce a high quality recreational experience that is appealing to guests of all ages and abilities while respecting the natural resources of the area. A Mount Sunapee Advisory Committee meeting and public hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 14 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm in the Sunapee Lodge providing an opportunity to comment on the plan.
