Good morning Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Today is a lovely Thursday, the 18th day in March, and its expected to be another unforgettable day on the slopes. Not only are temperatures expected to reach the mid 40 range, but there is a 30% chance for snow today, which rises to a 70% chance by Friday, hopefully adding on to the 192 inches of snow the mountain has already received this season. Keep doing that snow dance!Take your pick on any of the 16 lifts running, leading you to 111 exciting and varied trails, spread across 1144 skiable acres and set on a luscious 52 inch base. Crested Butte has some of the best bumps and moguls in the business, and is known for not only its extreme limits, but its perfectly groomed slopes, the mountain does hold the title for Colorados best corduroy; and the hard working groomers have groomed 67 trails overnight and recommend Keystone as their groomers choice. On top of phenomenal snow conditions and weather, the events going on are sure to put the cherry on top of your vacation! The 14th Annual Extreme Telemark Freeskiing Championships start today with registration and continue tomorrow when over 100 freehealers take to the mountain and show us just how brave (and talented) they are. Venues will change daily and will be displayed on whiteboards located throughout the mountain. More information is on the website at skicb.com.
