Rumours are flying California's Squaw Valley is renaming its Eagles' Nest "McConkey's" after the late Shane McConkey...
The freeskier whose father was one of the first ski shop owners in Whistler, was killed last March base jumping in Italy. McConkey had always called Squaw's Eagles' Nest the perfect training ground for competing in big mountain freeskiing. It's been said Eagles' Nest has a 68.5 degree pitch, one of the steepest in North America. Photo credit: RedBull Photofiles |
